** IMPORTANT NEWS **

     Dear fans, friends, and family,

As some of you already know, we have been busy over the last five months with writing and recording some new music. It is easily the most proud of anything we've ever been a part of. We have joined our minds and hearts to create something unique, and we want you to be a part of it.

Before we do that, we have a bit of explaining to do...

Our atoms have split, forming clones of ourselves who can no longer recognize themselves as greenwheel. WE ARE: Go Van Gogh.

The members are the same as greenwheel?
     Yes.

Greenwheel is still alive and well, and will be playing shows all over the place. We've got some college shows, and a casino show coming up in greenwheel land during the next few months ...
     stay tuned...

Go Van Gogh's sound consists of funky, dance tunes about lust and anger ... Velvet R&B tunes with lost love and winning hope ... at times..... frantic and visceral,....... at times melodic as a lullaby ... and at times, .... too much for the human brain to handle.
     this is only the beginning...

March 9th is the day we release our new EP, Ruby and the Starlight Ballroom. We can't wait to get some feedback from you, so go hit the new myspace page ... now I say! Start some musical conversations.....we are ready.

Go Van Gogh will be embarking on some virgin touring starting in March, with our very first show to be the CD release party in STL (3/9 @ Cicero’s). We will be venturing further out of town in April, May, and beyond. We can’t wait to get out there with new tunes, new vibes, and maybe new neck ties.

Why the change you ask? We all felt the need for a new creative outlet is the simplest answer. Something that was completely new and inspiring. It’s fun to start something from the ground up again and we just hope you all love it as much as we do. We have not been this creatively inspired in a very long time – and it feeeeeels goooooood.

If this confuses anyone, don't be afraid to ask questions – hit up the new page and message us (or yell). We will be more actively involved with that page for the next couple of months so don't email the greenwheel page. It’s too hard to run two pages at once folks! We look forward to seeing and hearing from you soon, we've missed you all.

4/14/06: St. Paul, MN (Station 4)
Holy crap! What a good time we had on Good Friday!! We had the pleasure of seeing some terrific fans who came seeking some wholesome rock and roll ... if by wholesome, you mean loud and sweaty, then that’s what we gave them!!!
Relapse had a great show, setting the table with an emotional and fun performance. Brandon sat in with them on bass again tonight, and I liked his shirt. I mean, it just fits him really well, you know. Vertigo Joe and the Holloways both gave rousing and melodic performances as well.
It was a hawt one on stage tonight, so hot I shouldn’t spell it right. So, we pretty much rocked like Sgt. Slaughter. Merciless in our bashing of heads and screeching of guitars. We heard voices singing back to us tonight, and that makes us feel invincible!!!! Thank you St. Paul, for such an enchanted evening. Can’t wait to see you again!

4/13/06: Des Moines, IA (The House of Bricks)
If I were a lumberjack, I would chop this town a mighty tree to say thanks for the great show. I’m not sure what they’d do with a friggin’ huge tree, but it’s the dern thought that counts!!!
Even though the bartenders at the place probably didn’t like our music, they were still super cool to us and we very much enjoyed our time there. It sounded incredible onstage and we were very connected with our show tonight. The fans who came out were top shelf, for sure. Great conversations and goofy pictures filled the after show, and we look forward to seeing this town again soon.

     Thanks for being patient :-)

4/12/06: Champaign, IL (The Canopy Club)
Speaking of rabid marsupials, tonight’s show was lovely. A small but wonderful crowd graced us their voices and eager ears as we rocked music new and old. We’d never played Champaign before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Thank you all for the unexpected welcome, and we hope to see you again soon. We raise our glass to the street teamers who busted their arses getting us promoted in the town. Their efforts are very much appreciated!!!!

4/8/06: St. Louis, MO (Mississippi Nights)
Ah!!!! To be home is a wonderful thing. Seeing familiar faces and new faces at the show was refreshing and restored our weary hearts.
Happy Endings gave the show a happy beginning (oh yes, I went there). Rocking with stylish abandon, they got everyone excited with their insane hooks and fun loving attitude. Autovein gave me chills with their energy and precision. They gave the crowd some delightful melodic morsels, and blistered faces with their hard rock presentation.
It was a night to remember, thanks to the many faithful fans that came and shook their booties to “Doin the Butt” and swooned with us on “Fake Plastic Trees”. Debuting new material from the fresh E.P. was a thrill beyond compare, and hearing fans join us in singing some familiar numbers sent us into the stratosphere with happiness…
Thank you to all our friends and family in the Lou. Without your support we could not do this, and we are forever grateful.
